Our village
Sarıhacılar Village has a history of approximately 800 years. Formed by the proliferation of guard houses built to protect the Silk Road, the village had 170 households in the 1800s. With its unique buttoned houses and ancient roads that have remained intact to this day, it is an important cultural and alternative tourism center. Its rare cedar forest is one of the village's riches. Furthermore, the village is home to one of Turkey's richest ethnography museums .
The " Akseki - Sarıhacılar Historical Caravan Migration Route ," starting at the entrance to Akseki District , is 3650 meters long. The section between Sarıhacılar and Belenalan is 1 km long. Hiking is popular on these routes, which have remained intact to this day. It was used as a caravan and migration route during the Roman, Seljuk, and Ottoman periods.
Sarıhacılar Village was declared a protected historical site by the Monuments Board in 2011.
